2025.1 Security


HotFix

This HotFix applies to Barracuda RMM 2025.1.

The purpose of this HotFix is to proactively address security issues
around remote code execution. These vulnerabilities have not been
exploited. We suggest all users update RMM with this HotFix.
This HotFix doesn’t update OMs and DMs, and no reboot is required.


Announcement

Removal of custom sender email addresses
In an upcoming version of RMM, we're removing the ability to customize
the Sender email

address in Barracuda RMM for Hosted users.

To simplify the Barracuda RMM experience and to ensure consistent
email delivery from our hosted products, we're removing the ability to
customize the Sender email address in our cloud environments. Emails,
such as alerts and password resets, will be sent from the address
rmm-alerts@barracuda.com, which is not monitored. This will provide
additional consistency and simplicity for Cloud users.
This simplification only applies to users hosted on our Cloud
environments. Non-hosted users will still be able to customize the
address.

For security purposes, if you previously used a custom domain in your
email address, we recommend removing
include:smtp-out.mw-rmm.barracudamsp.com from the domain’s SPF
records.

Users who require the HotFix download package can find them at the
extreme bottom of the Previous Versions page in Campus (Campus
Account and log in required).
