Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in Intel® SNMP Subagent Stand-Alone
for Windows* may allow an escalation of privilege.  Intel is not
releasing updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability and has
issued a Product Discontinuation Notice for Intel® SNMP Subagent
Stand-Alone for Windows*.


Vulnerability Details:

CVEID: CVE-2019-14600

Description: Uncontrolled search path element in the installer for
Intel(R) SNMP Subagent Stand-Alone for Windows* may allow an
authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via
local access.

CVSS Base Score: 6.5 Medium

CVSS Vector: CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Affected Products:

Intel® SNMP Subagent Stand-Alone Advisory for Windows* all versions.


Recommendations:

Intel has issued a Product Discontinuation notice for Intel® SNMP
Subagent Stand-Alone for Windows* and recommends that users of the
Intel® SNMP Subagent Stand-Alone for Windows* uninstall it or
discontinue use at their earliest convenience.
