Vulnerability Details CVEID: CVE-2015-2808 DESCRIPTION: The RC4 algorithm, as used in the TLS protocol and SSL protocol, could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to remotely expose account credentials without requiring an active man-in-the-middle session. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to retrieve credit card data or other sensitive information. This vulnerability is commonly referred to as "Bar Mitzvah Attack". CVSS Base Score: 5 CVSS Temporal Score: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/101851 CVSS Environmental Score*: Undefined CVSS Vector: (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N) Affected Products and Versions IBM Expeditor 6.2.3, 6.2.2, 6.2.1 IBM Notes 9.0.1, 9.0, 8.5.3, 8.5.2, 8.5.1 IBM Domino 9.0 , 8.5.3, 8.5.2, 8.5.1 NOTE: IBM Domino 9.0.1 supports TLS 1.2 and it is not vulnerable to the Bar Mitzvah attack. Remediation/Fixes None Workarounds and Mitigations You should update cipher settings to exclude RC4 cipher suites. You should verify applying this configuration change does not cause any compatibility issues. Not disabling the RC4 stream cipher will expose yourself to the attack described above. IBM recommends that you review your entire environment to identify other areas where you have enabled the RC4 stream cipher and take appropriate mitigation and remediation actions. IBM Notes & Domino Update Notes.ini Remove use of RC4 cipher from SSL/TLS traffic, This should be done by removing references to cipher specification numbers as mentioned at the following link: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/SSLCipherSpec Internet Site document From the Domino Administrator, click Configuration - Web - Internet sites. Choose the Internet site document to modify, and click Edit Document. Click Security Update SSL ciphers. Click Modify to change the SSL cipher settings for this site document and remove RC4 ciphers. NOTE : These settings apply only to SSL v3. SSL v2 ciphers cannot be changed. Server document Modify the server document to restrict SSL RC4 ciphers for HTTP only as follows: From the Domino Administrator, click Configuration and open the Server document in the Domino Directory. Click Ports > Internet Ports > Web. In the SSL Ciphers field, click Modify to change the SSL cipher settings and remove RC4 ciphers. IBM Expeditor Set https.cipherSuites jvm property to exclude RC4 cipher suites. You can add jvm property settings in \framework\rcp\deploy\jvm.properties. An example setting: vmarg.Dciphers=- Dhttps.cipherSuites=TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDH_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDH_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_DHE_ RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA, TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDH_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDH_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA, SSL_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDH_ECDSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDH_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA,SSL_DHE_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA, SSL_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA,TLS_EMPTY_RENEGOTIATION_INFO_SCSV This setting disables RC4 in HTTPSConnections except Embedded Browser.
